The makers of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Raees' are rumoured to have made last-minute changes to their shoot schedule. The last leg of filming was supposed to kickstart by next month, but sources reveal that it has been pushed to December due to SRK's date issues. The film, which is slated for a 2016 Eid clash with Salman Khan's 'Sultan', features Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
A unit source says, "We had to shoot some important portions of the film and still had time in hand before the film went to the post-production stage. Although we wanted to roll from September 1, it is not possible now due to Shah Rukh's date issues. The fresh schedule is yet to be worked out, but it looks like we will have to wait until December."
Recently, there was buzz that SRK had to opt for a knee surgery which might delay the shoot. However, sources close to the star say the operation has nothing to do with Raees' schedule being reworked. An insider says, "His surgery is not happening any time soon. He has allotted dates from next month to Rohit Shetty's 'Dilwale' and after wrapping it up, will join Raees' shoot."
Rahul Dholakia, who's helming the film, remains non-committal about the schedule change, saying, "It (the schedule) is (slated to begin) after monsoon and we have not yet decided on the start date (yet)."
