According to them the film has collected nearly Rs 50 crore in revenues in the Indian market, just behind the Sunny Deol blockbuster Gadar-Ek Prem Katha and way above other hits like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Lagaan, Koi... Mil Gaya, Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai.
Directors Karan Johar, Yash Chopra and Rakesh Roshan are visibly upset about this assumption made by UTV. They claim that the ad portrays their films and credentials in the bad light.
Though producer Ronnie Screwvala has come up with an apology but some of the directors are not placated with it.
Karan Johar claims he did not receive any apology and Rakesh Roshan states that it is not ethical to make such a statement.
According to sources Karan Johar and Yash Chopra are planning to take some legal action against UTV and the ad.
