The film has all the right ingredients that could spawn comics, animations, sequels and even legends - big budget, technical excellence and a filmmaker who has earlier boldly pushed the envelope in Indian cinema.
However, it could easily come a cropper if its story line is weak or confused, as has happened in the past with numerous big budget bollywood films.
After the phenomenal success of the film "Koi Mil Gaya" Rakesh Roshan is back with its sequel - "Krrish". Hrithik Roshan, who has not been seen in a big budget film since "Koi Mil Gaya" and Farhan Akhtar's "Lakshya", has worked hard for and understandably expects a lot out of Krrish.
"Krrish" starts off where "Koi Mil Gaya" ended. Jadoo has transferred his powers to Rohit, and he in turn passes them onto his son Krrish. The story is about how Krrish learns to deal with his superhuman powers and eventually saves the world from a villian played by Naseeruddin Shah.
Priyanka plays the love interest; Preity has a special appearance in the film. She is supposed to have a completely different look in the film. Rekha is the grandmother who brings up Krrish after the death of his parents.
Hrithik has been trained for the action sequences by Tony Ching Siu-tung, an action choreographer from Hong Kong. He directed action sequences for the Hollywood films "Hero" and "Flying Drangons".
Tony has also worked with John Woo of "Face-off", "Mission Impossible 2" fame. Hrithik was in China for two months training in martial arts for the action sequences of the film.
In the film Hrithik Roshan dons six different looks. There is an old man, the young boy from "Koi Mil Gaya", and the village look for Krrish. He changes his appearance when he goes to Singapore; Priyanka gives him a makeover in the film. The most interesting and innovative look will be the dark one with the superhero mask.
"Krrish" promises to be a pathbreaking film. We might have our very own superman or spiderman after this film! Rakesh Roshan said in an interview that the film could spawn comic books, animation films and even sequels, though nothing can be confirmed before its release.
