'Katti Batti' secures a poor start?

Filmmaker Nikhil Advani's romantic thriller "Katti Batti", starring actors Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan, collected Rs.5.28 crore on its first day.

The film, which released across 1,200 screens on Friday, opened well with healthy word of mouth publicity and picked up well on evening shows, a statement said.

"Katti Batti", which released alongside Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's "MSG 2 - The Messenger", talks about live-in relationships.

Not only in India, the film received a good response overseas with a cumulative box office collection of $503,000.
