T-Series has lined up a musical extravaganza as a tribute to its founder, the late Gulshan Kumar (1956-1997), to celebrate three decades of the music label.
The event will be held in Mumbai on September 22 and will air on Colors later this year.
The show will be hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana, Sonu Nigam and Shaan who will put together the musical journey of Gulshan Kumar and T-Series with the who's who of the Indian music and film industry in attendance.
First time
Ayushmann, who has proved himself as a successful singer-composer along with being an actor, worked on his first single, Mitti Di Khushboo, which was presented by Bhushan Kumar (T-Series).
Similarly, Sonu Nigam, one of Bollywood's leading singers, started his music journey with T-Series. His album Deewana with the music label turned out to be his first big successful album of all time. His professional relationship with T-Series gave him a chance to work with the father-son duo of Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar closely, which soon turned into a strong personal bond.
Celebrate music
Sonu cherishes the bond he shared with Gulshanji and agreed to co-host the event. The singer has had a strong association with the label for over two decades. Shaan, who has sung several compositions for T-Series, was happy to be a part of the event which celebrates music. The concert will also have Indian music stalwarts come together to salute Gulshan Kumar and recreate some of the best longstanding T-Series ballads which have marked the brand's success over the past three decades.
