The "Welcome Back" actress, who was here on Friday to launch the city's first Gap store, brought to India by Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd.
Known for her casual chic style, the actress was seen wearing Gap's trademark denims.
She said: "To launch a brand that I've been wearing so often is indeed a pleasure! Seasons may change, but our wardrobes will always feature certain staples like tees, denims, hoodies and jackets which Gap does the best.
"Bangalore is known to be fashion forward and it's exciting to see the buzz build with anticipation for the launch."
Shruti was joined at the store in Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway here by by J. Suresh, managing director and CEO, Arvind Lifestyle Brands; Oliver Kaye, business head, Gap India; and M.R. Jaishankar, chief managing director, Brigade Group.
Spread over 8,000 sq ft, the new store features ranges for men and women, GapKids, and babyGap Fall 2015 collections. The collections are a modern interpretation of Gap's denim roots and signature pieces.;
Since opening its doors in 1969, Gap has been known for offering consumers cool, modern American designs in on-trend, casual clothing and accessories.
Gap's first India store opened in Delhi in May 2015.
