Film's director Ali Abbas Zafar took to Twitter to share a picture from the practise session.
"Sultan @BeingSalmanKhan starts wrestling and mixed martial arts with @larnellstovall and team for next 2 months," he posted.

Produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, the movie is said to be based on the life of wrestler Sultan Ali Khan from Haryana. Salman will be seen in the lead role.
The leading lady of the film is yet to be announced.
The shooting of the film is scheduled to commence in November. It will hit theatres Eid next year.
Popular composer duo Vishal-Shekhar will give music in the film.
Salman had earlier said that "Sultan" was going to be a stressful film for him. Salman, 49, who will be donning a physically strong character for the film, said the film involves a lot of action scenes.
"I have to work a lot for this film. It is going to be a stressful film. In November, I start shooting for it. There is lot of action in it.. Wrestling types... Weights... Lot of muscles. I have to be very strong," Salman said in an interview.
"So it is not about body, it is not necessary that he will be ripped in six packs but he is very strong," he had said at the time.
