Shashi Kapoor to receive lifetime achievement award at 6th Jagran Film Festival

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor will be honoured with lifetime achievement award at the 6th Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai.

Kapoor, 77, has worked in movies like "Deewaar", "Namak Halaal", "Satyam Shivam Sundaram"," Suhaag" apart from doing English film projects including, "The Householder, "Shakespeare Wallah" and "Muhafiz".

"We are proud and happy that the Lifetime Achievement Award this year is to be presented to Shashi Kapoor who has enriched the cinematic medium through his vast and wide range of contribution as an actor and producer and has patronised good cinema."

"It is an honour that he has kindly consented to receive this award," Manoj Srivastava, Strategic Consultant, Jagran Film Festival, said.

The 6th edition of Jagran Film Festival is scheduled from September 28 to October 4 at Fun Cinemas, Andheri.
