Acclaimed actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Tillotama Shome have joined forces for a new short film 'Nayantara's Necklace', which will also have a cameo by Gulshan Devaiah.

The digital short film is directed by Jaydeep Sarkar, and comes close on the heels of the success of Radhika Apte-starrer 'Ahalya'. It's a project under the Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, which promotes the concept of short films.

'Nayantara's Necklace', a dramatic thriller, revolves around the friendship between two unlikely women. The drama is woven around a necklace, which is also used as a metaphor for things, which may not seem to be what they actually are, read a statement.


The 20-minute film showcases the empty spaces that exist behind the bustling lives of modern metropolises, which result in forming an accidental friendship between two completely opposite characters played by Konkona and Tilotama.

It will be released on digital platforms later this month.
