He has been curiously missing from the scene, but now Prateik is trying to get a foothold in the industry yet again, without making too much of a noise.

Smita Patil and Raj Babbar's son has been doing the rounds of production houses, casting agents, auditions all over again, like a newcomer.

When he made his debut with 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na' (2008) and later appearing in 'Dhobi Ghat' (2011), there were lot of expectations from him.

But he didn't really live up to any of them and soon his link-ups started making more noise than his films. Older and wiser, Prateik wants to leave all that behind and start on a new note. I wish the lad all the best.
