Vidya Balan is finally on Twitter. Well, technically the actress has been on the micro-blogging site for quite some time now. Six years, to be precise. However, it was only recently that the actress' Twitter handle was verified. Considering that there are a number of fake accounts with her name, Vidya's account wasn't really noticed enough. What's even more surprising is the fact that while she had created the account years ago, she has posted her first tweet this August. Her first tweet read, "Hows this for a 1st?Cant believe im doing it finally !! I wonder how long i will last ..but while im at it,may as well say Hello." Even then it took her two more months to get her account verified. But now that it has been done, Vidya's official Twitter handle is @vidya_balan.

Going by the pictures posted by the actress on her account, it seems like she is planning to use the handle to connect with her fans rather than just promote her films.
