The actress, who famously played goalkeeper 'Vidya Sharma' in the 2007 hit sports drama, will feature in a cameo appearance in the Subhash Sehgal-directed film.
"I am playing a politician in 'Yaara Silly Sily' which is going to be different from any of my past film. Though it's a cameo but my role is a very strong one, which is fun, bold and an outgoing character," Vidya said in a statement.
"My role isn't based on any real life politicians but I play my own self," she added.
The 46-year-old "Kidnap" actress praised her co-star popular Bengali actor Parambrata Chaterjee, saying she had a wonderful time on the set. Parambrata, who was seen in Vidya Balan starrer "Kahaani", plays the main lead of the film along with actress Paoli Dam.
Ankit Tiwari has composed music of the film, jointly produced by Reena Bhushan Suri and Neena Subhash Sehgal, and is scheduled to release on November 6.
