Hollywood's Michael Hoffman, who helmed the George Clooney-Michelle Pfeiffer starrer One Fine Day among many others, had a dekko of Prawaal Raman's Main Aur Charles when he was in India for his romantic drama, Best Of Me.

It so happened that Prawaal was also at the same party as Hoffman and they got chatting about their respective movies. That's when the former invited the latter to see his film, then in post-production. Admitting his prejudice towards Bollywood movies, Hoffman said, "It's supposed to be all about music, dance and high emotional drama.I thought the same till I saw Prawaal's thriller. I was surprised as it is like any mainstream international film. I loved the performances of all actors, especially Randeep Hooda, Adil Hussain, Alex O'Neil and Serbian actress Dijana Dejanovic. Even though the movie wasn't complete as post-production was underway, I found it fresh and compelling. I look forward to not justMain Aur Charles,but all of Prawaal's projects in the near future.

On his part, the Bollywood writer-director says, "It was a pleasant surprise for me that Michael watched the film. I'm thankful to him for appreciating it so much." The crime drama, produced by Raju Chadha, Amit Kapoor and Vikram Khakhar, also features Richa Chadha, Tisca Chopra, Anastasia and Shanti Mei.Main Aur Charles,presented by Wave Cinemas Ponty Chadha and produced by Cynozure Networkz, releases today.
