The 48-year-old actor, who has worked in various movies like "Gangaajal", "Singh is Kinng," and "Aarakshan", was in the city to walk the ramp for students of Kurukshetra University. He said he has learned a lot from the "PK" actor. "I have learnt many good things from Aamir and that is the best source of motivation for me even today. He was so humble and like any normal person used to have cup of tea on roadside vendor during 'Lagaan' shoot," he said.
Yashpal was born in Haryana and the actor wishes to see the positive side of state in films.
"I want to see Haryana in good light in Bollywood, but my head bowed with shame when my own state is criticised for skewed sex ratio and khaap diktats. Onus is on the shoulder of youths of the state to change the perception," he said He went on to appreciate 'Beti Bacho Beti Padao' abhiyaan and asked girls and boys to participate more in cultural activities which would lead them to learn the quality of leadership and teamwork.
