On Karva Chauth, Hindu women, mostly in north India, observe a day-long fast with no food or water, for their husband's long life. They eat only after praying to the moon.
Bollywood has always brought the revelry around the festival on the silver screen with much fanfare. Be it the famous fasting scene of `Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge` and the `Bole chudiyan` song sequence of `Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...` or the song "Chand chupa badal mein" from "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam".
