She has worked with him in nearly five films and producer Guneet Monga says actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is still "humble and grounded" despite starring in some big-budget movies.

Guneet has produced films like "The Lunchbox" and Nawazuddin's next, "Haraamkhor".

"Before a shot, you will not see him (Nawazuddin) around much, but as soon as the camera rolls, he emerges with his performance and bowls you over. After the shot, he will disappear again.

"He likes to be a nobody. And has still been the most supportive actor I have worked with. I feel very fortunate," Guneet told PTI.

The producer says nothing much has changed in the "Manjhi: The Mountain Man" actor over the years as a person.

"Nawazuddin is one of the most wonderful, grounded and humble persons. Over the years, nothing much has changed in him.

When it comes to him as an actor, he is doing bigger films now but as a person, he is still the same and that is wonderful." Guneet started her production stint with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and went on to open her own production house Sikhya Entertainment in 2008, backing content-driven films ever since.

At the recently concluded Jio MAMI 17th Mumbai Film Festival, four films backed by Guneet were premiered. Shlok Sharma's "Haraamkhor", Vasan Bala's crime-thriller "Peddlers," Amit Kumar's noi-thriller "Monsoon Shootout", which stars Nawazuddin, and Indo-Canadian film "Khoya".

"I slept peacefully after years. There were so many people saying that these movies won't sell, (they) won't get a release, people won't like it. We, the makers, work in isolation so we are never really sure about the feedback till the movie goes to the viewers.

"But the support of audience has really overwhelmed me. It was surreal to see Indian audience queue up to watch these movies."

The producer is confident that she would continue the momentum and ensure the films get a release.

"Hope the momentum continues. We want to carry forward the moment and make sure the films get a release. If it means crowd-funding, we will do that too. But the movies will surely get a release," she added.
