The Rohit Shetty-directorial venture reunites the iconic pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
"Rohit sir made sure we all are in our own space... I hope we are able to create half the magic of them on screen.
We would be happy with it, if it happens," Kriti told reporters here at the trailer launch of Dilwale last evening.
Varun said he did not feel overshadowed by Shah Rukh and Kajol in the romantic-comedy.
"I play his (Shah Rukh) younger brother and so these things like insecurity, jealousy don't come in between. It is an emotional film. We all stand by each other. Rohit sir did the best job of directing us," Varun said.
The 25-year-old "Heropanti" actress, who worked for the first time with Shah Rukh in the film, found him lovable and encouraging.
"He (Shah Rukh) is the most secured actor... He puts others first. He has been doing that throughout the film. He wants us to be seen more... He has been encouraging. This is the quality of a superstar," Kriti said.
