After maverick director Ram Gopal Varma put his SRK starrer Time Machine on hold in favour of Amitabh Bachchan-starrers Nishabd and Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay, Shah Rukh Khan was naturally upset with the filmmaker.

Rumours are doing rounds, Shahrukh will not be attending the prestigious IIFA awards in Dubai this June. Bachchan senior is the global ambassador for IIFA.

It is also being said that a few of Shahrukh Khan's close friends like Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Farah Khan too will not attend the event.

While Farah will be busy with Sajid Khan's film Jaaneman, Karan will be busy with the post-production work of his film Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna. Priyanka has also excused herself due to her prior commitment with SRK.

With so many big names missing from the IIFA event, will IIFA manage to dazzle without these celebrities... only time will tell.
