The 21st edition of the festival will feature 149 movies from 61 countries in 15 categories in 12 locations from November 14-21.
The cinematic icon's wife wife Jaya, actresses Vidya Balan, Sharmila Tagore and Moushumi Chatterjee will also be seen gracing the event.
"In the land of Tagore and Ray, Jaya and Sharmila, Rakhee and Moushumi,Parineeta and Kahaani,Durga and Kali...Amar Shonar Bangla," Vidya tweeted.
The festival is budgeted at Rs.8 crore. This year for the second time, the KIFF is a competitive event. The competition focuses on films helmed by women filmmakers.
