In an interview with TOI, Yuvraj Singh's mother, Shabnam has revealed that she and Yuvraj spent hours choosing the right ring for Hazel Keech. She further added that they chose a stunning solitaire ring for Hazel and because Yuvi wanted to surprise her, Shabnam did not accompany the couple to Bali. On being asked what did she really like in Hazel, Yuvraj's mother replied that it was Hazel's unconditional love for Yuvraj Singh that she liked the most.

After denying it several times over the last few months, Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech have finally started talking about their relationship. After posting pictures of their engagement, the duo has finally written as to what they feel about each other on their respective Twitter handles. While Yuvraj wrote, "Yes I am engaged ?cause i found a friend for life in @hazelkeech as mom says a reflection of her ❤️," Hazel soon followed it up by tweeting, "Yes, its true, im getting married to @YUVSTRONG12 Im so thankful to have found such an amazing person #shazam"
