Released in multiple languages, "Baahubali", which earned over Rs.600 crore at the ticket window, is one of the biggest blockbusters of India. It garnered similar response from television audience when it premiered on the small screen last month. The rating percent of the film out of 10 was 6.85.
Karan, who presented the Hindi version of Rajamouli's magnum opus, expressed his gratitude over the success of the film on Twitter. He shared: "#Baahubali storms television ratings! More power to the man @ssrajamouli and the entire team!!! #Prabhas @RanaDaggubati".
According to the 35-year-old actor's spokesperson, Prabhas was "pleasantly surprised" with Karan's views on the social media.
"Prabhas was pleasantly surprised and extremely delighted to see the announcement by Karan Johar. He is very humbled with all the love and appreciation he has been getting from the audiences," said the spokesperson.
"Baahubali", also starring Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj, narrated a story of a kingdom with two brothers vying for the throne. Now, all eyes are on the part two of the film.
