Reshammiya, who was here for a stage show, said that his albums should not be criticised because they were free from vulgarity, adding it was only because of the music that they (albums) become hit in the market.
"I just try to make people believe that the Indian music is the biggest of all as no one has kind of the classical ragas that we have," Reshammiya, who has been giving one hit song after the other in the recent times, said.
He said it was only due to his hardwork that he was surviving in the Bollywood.
"I give full attention to all my projects, no matter how big or small they are. But, I always make sure my music becomes hit among the masses, the moment it is launched in the market," he said.
Reshammiya went on to say that he is a versatile singer and has sung music of all genres and was now working towards bring the world music to India very soon.
"I have done semi-classical music in 'Tere Naam', a sufi rock album 'Aap Ka Saroor', which is the highest selling album of all time. I have done pure classical in 'Banaras', pop in 'Aksar', 'Tom, Dick and Harry' and 'China Town'. So, versatility is very important and I will also try to bring the world music to India very soon," said Reshammiya.
"I have always tried to simplify pure classical ragas and present it in the most possible contemporary way so that the youngsters can identify them," he added.
During his show, Reshammiya kept his audience captivated all the time with his catchy melodies and nasal voice.
He sang a number of hit songs from the movies that included- title song of 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Janabe Janiya' from 'Aksar', Aapki Kashish ('Aashiq Banaya Aapne'), Aashiqui Mein Teri ('36 China Town'), Teri Yaad ('Vaah Life HoToh Aisi'), and 'Just Chill' ('(Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya').
