Anurag Basu's long-in-the-making film 'Jagga Jasoos' starring lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor will get a fresh lease of life in the New Year. There has been a great deal of speculation about the detective saga ever since it went on floors two years ago, but now the shooting will resume in January.
Says Ranbir, who is also co-producer of the film, "A schedule is lined up from January and the film will release around June. There has been much talk about the film being reshot. But you can reshoot only if a film has been shot. 'Jagga Jasoos' is only 50 per cent complete."
According to the actor, Basu has a unique style of working. "He's a mad guy. He does not work with a script. He is attempting something he has not done before. It is a musical, so it is taking time," he adds.
Ranbir informs that while working with Basu earlier for 'Barfi!' (2012), he was not sure how the film will shape up. "It was only when the film was complete and I sat down with my co-stars Priyanka (Chopra) and Ileana (D'Cruz) for a preview that I realised what he had been up to. It was like 'wow, this is what we have done'," says Ranbir.
'Jagga Jasoos' will be Ranbir-Katrina's third big screen outing; they were seen together in 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' (2009) and 'Raajneeti' (2010).
