Ranveer is sharing screen space with Priyanka and Deepika in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama 'Bajirao Mastani'.
"I am very proud of Priyanka, she is doing a great job with 'Quantico' (Priyanka's American drama). She went to a new industry and is getting success there with her show," Ranveer told reporters here when asked about the qualities of his two co-stars.
"I think Kashi Bai (Priyanka's role in 'Bajirao Mastani') is a testament to Priyanka's versatility," he said.
He is amazed at the 33-year-old actress' range as a performer.
"She is a rare performer and a very fine artist. I am allured towards actors who show versatility and range.
Priyanka has shown different kind of range by playing different characters. Hats off to her versatility, it inspires me," he said.
Ranveer, who is rumoured to be dating Deepika, was all praise for her work ethics.
"I like Deepika's work ethics, they are unparalleled.
She can multi-task. She is a thorough professional and a very generous actor," he said.
"I think one can completely surrender and submit and you know things will be great. She is connected to you as a co-actor. When you are acting with Deepika, you are on a good wicket," he said.
Priyanka and Ranveer were speaking at a promotional event of "Bajirao Mastani" where the latter performed on "Malhari" song, while Priyanka danced on the "Pinga" number.
"The song 'Pinga' is very difficult. Hats-off to the ladies (Priyanka and Deepika), they have done a great job," Ranveer said. Priyanka also praised Ranveer, with whom she previously co-starred in "Gunday" and "Dil Dhadakne Do". She also shared screen space with him in "Ram Leela", though just for a song.
"It (Ranveer's energy) is inspiring. Ranveer and I share a comfort level, we fight but have mutual respect and share a great camaraderie," she said.
On Deepika's absence from the promotional event, Priyanka said in a lighter vein, "I miss my partner in crime.
She is busy doing 'Tamasha' (Deepika's latest release). I couldn't have asked for a better partner." "Bajirao Mastani" releases December 18.
