PIA's 'Mughal e Azam' to fly Bollywood stars

Around 20 Bollywood stars will participate in a telethon transmission on the occasion of the release of Mughal e Azam in Pakistan to raise funds for the victims of the October 8 earthquake.

A special PIA flight named "Mughal-e-Azam" will bring the Bollywood stars to Pakistan. The stars expected to attend the event are Shilpa Shetty, Neha Dhopia, Sridevi, Bonny Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Urmila, Ameesha Patel, Celina Jaitley, Prem Chopra, Gulshan Grover, Rishi Kapoor and Rimi Sen.

According to the Daily Times, PTV will record interviews of the artists during the flight and record and telecast live their arrival.

An official dinner has also been arranged in honour of the stars in Karachi on June 24, and the ticket has been priced at Rs 40,000. A special set depicting Mughal architecture has also been built for the show at a cost of Rs three million.

Officials said PTV will telecast its nine-hour telethon transmission from 10am to 7pm on June 25 without any break, and the income generated from the show donated to the President's Relief Fund for earthquake victims.
