Speaking at the official launch function of upcoming movie 'Dilwale' here, Shahrukh, a hockey player in his college days in Delhi said: `PWL is an unique initiative and will help in giving the sport a huge boost. I hope the league touches new heights.`
Shahrukh's 'Dilwale' co-star Varun Dhawan also can not wait for the league to start. `It is absolutely wonderful that huge international names will be playing in our country. I look forward to watch a few matches and hope the initiative turns out to be a big success," the 28-year-old said.
Dilwale star, actress Kriti Sanon feels the league would be great in providing women wrestlers a fantastic platform to showcase their talent.
"I am very happy Pro League is coming to India. We would be able to see our great women talent fight it out against the international champs and showcase the world the women power of India," the 25-year-old pointed out.
Players are equally excited for the inception of the league.
Olympic 2012 bronze medallist Yogeshwar Dutt, the icon player for Haryana Hammers said, `I am very excited to play in the league. The league is a fantastic innovation and would be great in providing exposure to the youngsters in the country."
Punjab icon and Olympian Geeta Phogat is thrilled after getting the wishes from his favourite star Shahrukh.
"SRK is my favourite star and am excited that he has joined in wishing us luck," she said.
