Well-known Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who teamed up with Salman Khan for the first time in
1996 for "Jeet", says the actor is his lucky mascot.
They have worked together in four films, of which "Jeet" "Judwaa" and "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" were
blockbusters, the fourth, "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega", was not.
"Salman Khan is a good friend. He is like my younger brother maybe SK (the initials) is lucky for me... Just
like K is lucky for Karan Johar," said Nadiadwala. He says the 'SK' factor has played an important role in
the success of his production house.
Nadiadwala's banner had recently invested Rs.1 billon in three new directors - Shirish Kunder
("Jan-e-Man"), Sajid Khan ("Hey Baby") and Sabir Khan (untitled film) - all with the initials SK!
To a question on the risk factor involved in investing Rs.1 billon in new directors, he said: "I am aware of the
risk factor. It is a calculated risk. As a producer I am confident that I will not regret my decision.
"I come from a family which has been three decades in the industry. The idea is to expand my production
house and make films with new directors. Since I am hungry for fresh ideas and innovation, I have signed on
new directors."
