Director Onir's "Bas Ek Pal" will be screened at the eighth Osian Cinefan Festival to be held in New Delhi
July 14-23.
The Sanjay Suri, Urmila Matondkar, Jimmy Shergill and Juhi Chawla starrer by Onir of "My Brother Nikhil"
fame will figure in the Indian Competing category of the festival showcasing unreleased movies made in
2005-2006.
The movie is due for release Aug 25.
Onir said: "'Bas Ek Pal' is a very colourful film about relationships and is very different from 'My Brother
Nikhil'. The screening itself is very prestigious and if I win it'll be an honour."
The movie, according to Onir, defines the relationships among intertwined characters and how one incident
brings them all together.
It is a very flamboyant movie with its characters being very stylish and glamorous thanks to designer Anita
Dongre, who gave everyone a unique look and colour code.
The Osian fest, being organised in association with the Delhi government, aims at showcasing Asian films
of high artistic quality, encouraging young filmmakers and interactions between the national and
international industry and media professional.
