"There is no such plan of working in a film together. If you just look at our calendars, our spaces are full. Personally, my calendar is full. I am sure Salman is also busy. He is shooting for 'Sultan' right now and he told me about his another film," Shah Rukh told PTI.
The actors, who are back to being friends after a period of enmity, first worked together in the Rakesh Roshan-directed revenge drama "Karan Arjun" followed by love story "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam". Salman also had a guest role in "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".
Asked whether it would be too expensive to cast them together in a film considering they are the highest paid actors of Bollywood, Shah Rukh quipped, "I am cheap and sweet. I don't know about Salman's salary."
The actor, 50, is looking forward to the release of "Dilwale", which will see him reuniting with friend Kajol after a gap of five years.
Kajol had recently said that SRK and her husband Ajay Devgn are not friends despite she being the common link between them but Shah Rukh disagreed with her.
"We don't sit down and chat. Ajay is a quiet guy and so am I in real life. I may come out as more talkative in public. We are friends. If I have any issue, I can pick up the phone at 3am and call Ajay and tell him 'Listen, I need Kajol to come and do this for me' and he will drive her."
"We are such kind of friends. It happens because we have space. We are married and have kids and somewhere we have parallel life."
