After playing the role of a mute girl convincingly in her latest release "Chup Chup Ke", Kareena Kapoor is all set to captivate the hearts of her fans with her rustic and real
character in "Omkara".
Kareena plays Dolly Mishra, a modern day adaptation of Desdemona from the classic "Othello".
The actress was thrilled to work with director Vishal Bhardwaj whose last release "Maqbool" had won him immense critical acclaim.
"Working with Vishal and the team of 'Omkara' was a pleasurable experience. His unique working style is going to take me to another level, playing the character of
Desdemona has been my most challenging experience as an actress," said Kareena who plays Ajay Devgan's wife in the film.
"There are very few roles that have given me satisfaction - 'Refugee', 'Asoka', 'Chameli', 'Yuva' and now 'Omkara'. I myself can't believe what I have done here," she
said.
The movie is based on Shakespeare's "Othello" and also stars Saif Ali Khan, Viveik Oberoi and Bipasha Basu.
