If you jog your memory, Ajay Devgn had announced in May this year that his directorial venture, 'Shivaay', will release during Diwali 2016. So, that will makes Devgn compete with KJo's film that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. And it looks unlikely that either party will consider another date.
Ajay Devgn is used to taking on competition. During Diwali 2012, his film, 'Son of Sardaar' clashed with the Shah Rukh-starrer 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and Devgn had taken producers Yash Raj Films to court for alleged arm-twisting over screen sharing. Let's see how the festival of lights turns to be next year.
And don't forget Devgn's wife Kajol and KJo are buddies. They have had their differences in the past, but have now let bygones be bygones. I just can't wait for the drama to unfold.
