"Last time Aamir tweeted for 'Raanjhanaa' and my life changed after that. Honestly, the kind of films I got and the appreciation I got after 'Raanjhanaa'... that was really different.
"After 'Neerja' movie release, I am hoping for the same kind of thing. I respect Aamir a lot. I really look up to him and I respect his opinion and if he is endorsing 'Neerja', then I am really happy with it," Sonam said at Renault Sony Guild Awards 2016 in Mumbai.
"Neerja" is an upcoming biopic on the life of late air hostess Neerja Bhanot, and the "Khoobsurat" actress essays the role of Bhanot, a Pan Am chief purser who was gunned down by terrorists when Flight 73 was hijacked in Karachi in 1986.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film is slated to hit the theatres on February 19 next year.
