Anjum Sharma plays a Sikh ATS officer in 'Wazir'

Starting his film career with the Oscar winning Danny Boyle film 'Slumdog Millionaire', Anjum Sharma mesmerized the audiences with his cameo in Bijoy Nambiar`s 'David'. Now, he will be seen in the highly anticipated movie 'Wazir', playing a Sikh ATS Officer.

Anjum started his acting career in theatre and went on to do many plays with the charismatic Makrand Deshpande and considers him as his guru, a true philosopher and guide.

According to the sources, the young actor was very ecstatic about the role in the movie. As soon as he was selected for the role, he started working on his character. Learning how to tie the turban, brushing up his punjabi dialect. He even went looking for the right fabric for the turban.

He was at a friend`s place, learning to tie the turban, to get a feel of it. Just to take the experience to a whole new level, the actor travelled from Malad to Bandra to test his comfort and the reaction of the people.

Initially, he felt uncomfortable and would have headaches because of the weight of the turban, but later on got accustomed to it.

Commenting on the same Anjum says, "I am playing the role of a Sikh cop Sartaj singh ,who is a colleague and a close friend to farhan 's character Danish Ali. He is emotionally n professionally connected to daanish in the story n the course of events in the film.

The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari.
