Now you can call it the musical casting coup of the year. Director Vipul Shah has roped veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and hit-machine Himesh Reshmmiya to compose music of upcoming Namaste London.

And not only Vipul but Javed Akhtar is also pretty excited about his new venture.

"Himesh and I wanted to work with each other from a long time. He is simply a phenomenon. When we first met, he held my hand and said, ‘Javedsaab, I want your poetry'. That one statement did the trick.

For creating music we lyrists need a good script or a beautiful story, fortunately Vipul has given a very good opportunity in Namaste London.

Javed's glee is reciprocated by Himesh as well. Talking about his prestigious combinations he says, "Javedsaab is an icon, and has a great body of work. I always dreamt of composing songs written by him."

There will be nine songs in all in the film.
