Rituparno Ghosh has shelved his Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer, called 'Rahgeer' with Pritish Nandy Communication. The buzz is, now the film may be produced by UTV.

Ghosh shifted his loyalty towards UTV, without informing PNC. However UTV has cleared that it is in talks with Rituparno Ghosh on a completely different project that may star Akshay Kumar.

Says Siddharth Kapoor of UTV "We loved Rituparno's script and the cast which will comprise of Akshay and Ash. But we will announce the final thing once everything falls into place."

Ash has also been asked to do the role that was earlier supposed to be done by Vidya Balan.

However Ash's secretary claims "Rituparno has narrated several stories to Ash, but currently she is out of the country and hence only when she returns will she be able to take a decision."

Meanwhile Ghosh has started with his film Sunglass which stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Sanjay Suri and Jaya Bachchan.
