To be released in Hindi and Tamil, the R. Madhavan-starrer will hit the screens on Friday.
"A lot of students have been appreciating the kind of films we made in the past and wherever I go, they compliment me for my work. Hence, we decided to give them a gift. We will keep the first show completely free for them in selective cities and theatres," Hirani, who has directed blockbusters like "PK" and "3 Idiots", told IANS during the promotion of "Saala Khadoos" here.
"We are doing this in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Nagpur which is my hometown. Students can come, show their I-cards and go and watch the show. Eventually, we will be paying for it. But it's payback time for students," he added.
Written and directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, the film also stars newcomer Ritika Singh.
