Sandeep Kohli, composer of the song, said that a strong message was needed to be sent to those behind the blasts.
"When I heard the news of the bomb blasts, automatically, within 15 minutes, the lyrics and the tune of the song came to my mind, and a message that was necessary was created. I wanted to send a strong message to those who were behind this blast that Mumbaikars will never lose no matter how much atrocity they are subjected to. Mumbai will always be lively and it will always live," Kohli said.
Leading playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan expressed the hope that such incidences do not occur again.
"I think it's a good step to send a message to people that we feel for them. Kohli has made a good song. I hope that this kind of incident does not repeat," said Chauhan.
The song will have many voices from Bollywood and will feature several leading actors.
Bollywood, one of the biggest film industries of the world, has often shown solidarity whenever Mumbai or the country as a whole is in the grip of some crisis.
The Mumbai attacks, which took place on July 11, were similar to the serial bomb blasts on commuter rail networks in Madrid and London in the past two years.
Investigators have claimed that there were strong evidences of being Pakistan-based militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) behind the blast. Pakistan, however, has denied any involvement and described the accusations against it as "unsubstantiated".
