Vidya Balan has been honoured by her home state - Kerala.
The World Malayali Council honoured the star for her outstanding contribution to women empowerment.
The award in its first edition christened 'Pride of Kerala' is designed to honour an individual's contributions at national and global levels towards empowerment of women.
