With the onset of New Year here begins the season of award ceremonies. In 2015 we witnessed many cine flicks raking in big mullah at the box office, whereas there were a few which despite having some big names associated with them sank untraced. And there were a few like Piku, Bajirao Mastani and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which literally enthralled one and all.

If a report relating to recently held Zee Cine awards published on NDTV website is to be believed then it suggests that Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone swept the Zee Cine Awards 2016, by winning awards in as many as 10 categories including the Jury Award for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Director and Best Actress (Viewers' Choice).


For top slot Salman is decorated with Best Actor in the Viewers' Choice category for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, whereas Big B and Ranveer Singh shared the top honor (Best Actor-Jury) for their excellent performance in Piku and Bajirao Mastani respectively.
