Actress Urmila Mantondkar, known for her stellar roles in films like 'Rangeela', 'Satya' and 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya', tied the knot with Kashmir-based businessman and model Mohsin Akhtar Mir in a quiet wedding ceremony on Thursday afternoon.

The wedding was solemnised as per Hindu rituals at Urmila's residence in Mumbai.

Unlike the typical star-studded weddings of Bollywood, the couple kept it simple and private. A close friend of the 42-year-old actress, designer Manish Malhotra was the only Bollywood personality present at the wedding.

Without divulging more details, Urmila Mantonkar said, "We kept it an exclusive wedding with just family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low key affair we mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives."

Urmila had last appeared on screen in a 2014 Marathi film named "Ajoba".

Earlier this week, actress Preity Zinta tied the knot with her US-based boyfriend Gene Goodenough.
