The film, which revolves around a social issue, brings back the pairing of Naseeruddin and Arshad who worked together in 'Ishqiya' and its sequel 'Dedh Ishqiya'. Sagarika, best known for her debut role as Preeti Sabarwal in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Chak De! India', says Naseeruddin has tremendous energy as an actor.
"Working with Naseeruddin and Arshad has been a learning experience. Naseeruddin Sir has lots of energy. We shot for a combined scene recently and the feeling was amazing. He has a very warm presence on the set," Sagarika told PTI.
"While Arshad, more than anything else, is spontaneous and keeps on doing improvisations. That is a great quality to have as an actor because you get to a learn a lot as co-stars," she added.
'Irada' is helmed by debutant directors Aparna Singh and Nishant Tripathi. The actress says the directors got in touch with her as they had liked her performance in "Chak De! India".
"Aparna got in touch with me because she had seen 'Chak De' and said she needed somebody like that character who is strong, independent and voices her opinion. That is how I came on board for the film."
Sagarika, who also participated in season six of TV reality show "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi", has no plans to do any more shows on the small screen. "I did Khatron Ke Khiladi because I connected with its sports, adventure theme. I have done lots of adventure sports myself. I had the time to do the show so I did it. I cherish memories from the show but TV was only a one off thing. I have no plans to get back to it."
'Irada' is scheduled to release this year.
