The 29-year-old 'Wazir' star has shot for an online dance video that celebrates womanhood.
"I feel women should live the way they want to... To be who you are and not be burdened by any kind of pressure of who you are expected to be", Aditi told PTI in a telephonic interview.
Directed by Akanksha Seda, 'Let's Dance' by Culture Machine, which released today to mark International Women's Day, features Aditi performing western dance forms like contemporary and freestyle and in the background while talking about what being a woman means to her.
The 'Guddu Rangeela' actress said she was comfortable sharing every part of information she has shared in the video.
"I believe that one should feel comfortable with who one is and I don't think fear should enter your psyche about how you live your life or what you cannot do.
"Of course, there are times when you feel perplexed but it's all about overcoming that and trying to be the best version of yourself and celebrate who you are".
'Let's Dance' is a part of 'UnBlushed' series, which previously featured Bollywood actresses Kalki Koechlin, Sayani Gupta and Nimrat Kaur speaking their heart out.
The series showcases women celebrities who are unapologetic, brave and beautiful.
Hydari is a classical Bharatnatyam dancer but she said she wanted to "break out of the box" and opted for western dance forms in the video.
"I am trying to say through the video that why do we have to be boxed into little boxes? People think that I am a classical dancer so I will only do that or if I look a particular way so I will only do a certain kind of roles.
"Even though I am a classical dancer I have performed freestyle and contemporary dance in the video because I wanted to break out of the box. The language of dance is to be free and open.
Whether you do freestyle, jazz or contemporary, the idea is to be free," she said.
For the 'Guddu Rangeela' actress, the video is not about her dance but a way to show people her inner self.
"Through the video, I am not showcasing dance but my soul which is dance and the video is about it. It depicts who I am deep inside and if I were to show that through one way, I would do it through dance.
"What I believe in, what I feel, what I associate with happiness and joy is to be free and to be able to dance and that's what it is", she added.
