The 30-year-old daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone, who is shooting her debut Hollywood outing "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" in LA for quite sometime, met the tennis ace in the dark evening hours of March 8.
British tabloid The Daily Mail, which broke the story, however, called her a "female companion" of the tennis star.
The online site faced flak from fans for not doing their homework and failing to recognise the popular Indian star.
