Animal lover Amy Jackson suffers from separation anxiety when she is away from her pet pooch, Pablo, for long intervals. The actress keeps flying back to her home in England in between her shoots and other commitments to spend time with her dog. Now as she will be in Mumbai for a long time shooting for her untitled next, Sohail Khan's film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, she is keen to have Pablo by her side.
While shooting in January for her Tamil-Hindi bilingual, 'Enthiran 2', in Chennai, the 'Singh Is Bliing' actress missed him so much she decided that when she would shoot for long periods at a stretch, it would not be sans Pablo.
Getting a pet from the UK involves a lot of paperwork, but Amy remains undaunted. The actress, who flew in from London yesterday, has already begun the procedure to obtain a pet passport to enable Pablo's travel to India.
Says the actress, `I am hoping that Pablo joins me soon. The paperwork is in place and I hope the processing work gets completed soon. Back home, my mum and sister are taking care of him, but I want him to be here with me. Only a dog lover can understand my feelings, and the bonding and unconditional love a pet can give.`
Since the UK has a stringent set of rules, pet travel is not exactly an easy task. The booklet contains the unique number of the animal identified by the implantation of a microchip under the skin, rabies vaccination details which have to be signed by an officially approved vet besides the age and other details of the pet being disease-free to avoid being quarantined.
