Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has decided to again request the cyber crime division of Mumbai police to trace the person who was allegedly talking to actress Kangana Ranaut on his behalf from an email address.

The actor, 42, who was the first to send the legal notice to his "Krrish 3" co-star, has demanded that Kangana apologise in a press conference and clear the air about their alleged affair which he firmly refutes.

A defiant Kangana, 28, said she was not a "dim-witted" teenager and refused to apologise. She instead shot off a counter-notice to Hrithik warning him to take back his notice or face a criminal case.

On December 12, 2014, Hrithik had first complained to the cyber crime division about an unknown person using the email-id hroshan@email.com and talking to his fans. The complaint letter was then sent to concerned police officials.

"My client had filed the complaint first on December 12, 2014 regarding an imposter using the email address hroshan@email.com and talking to people. This was followed up with the authorities quite a few times. Again on March 5, 2016, my client had requested to find out the imposter and take action," Hrithik's lawyer Dipesh Mehta told PTI today.

"We would again pursue the matter with the cyber crime division as this is the crux (of legal battle between Hrithik and Kangana) of the whole matter. We are confident that the authorities would nail the person at the earliest, and this would put the matter to rest once and for all," he said.

The complaint letter had stated that, "I have a personal email address which is hroshan@mac.com and I do not have any other email address. I only communicate with public from this email address. Recently it was brought to my notice that some unknown person is using an email address hroshan@email.com and is impersonating himself as Hrithik Roshan before the public."

The letter further said, "Many innocent people including my fans and certain people from the film industry have told me that they are communicating with me on hroshan@email.com. When I told them that my email id is hroshan@mac.com they are not ready to believe the same."

In his letter, Hrithik revealed that a young girl (apparently implied to Kangana) has sent a lot of personal stuff on the email address hroshan@email.com. Also read: Hrithik Roshan claims Kangana Ranaut suffers from Asperger's Syndrome!


"A young girl sent a lot of photographs and film clips on the email address hroshan@email.com thinking that she is sending it to me. I believe the said material if used wrongly can ruin my reputation and the girl completely," the letter added.

Hrithik had requested the concerned officials to take corrective steps and trace the person.

"I request you to kindly take corrective steps and trace the person, who is cheating and conning people by impersonating me. You are requested to stop the email address hroshan@email.com with immediate effect and seize the material received on the same email address and destroy the same," the letter said.

In response to the complaint filed by Hrithik, the cyber crime division and police department had requested Hrithik to attend the police station or depute his representative to furnish print outs of the emails sent by email-id hroshan@email.com for initiating further necessary action and lodging an FIR in above complaint.

On behalf of the "Bang Bang" star, his lawyer Dipesh Mehta and his team had appeared and accordingly visited the cyber police station. The officials had then asked the lawyer and his team to furnish the name and mobile number of the person who had knowledge of the email address hroshan@email.com.

Hrithik's lawyer in the letter to the concerned officials had stated, "Our client (Hrithik) has no access to any emails sent or received from the email address hroshan@email.com. He (Hrithik) became aware about the said email address when one of his fan informed him that she has been communicating with our client on the said email address."

Again on March 5, 2016, Hrithik had sent a letter to the cyber crime division stating, "I (Hrithik) had brought to your kind attention that a person appears to have created an email address hroshan@email.com and is communicating with the public at large by impersonating himself as 'Hrithik Roshan'."

After maintaining silence for months, Hrithik Roshan has finally spoken about the matter from his side.

"Anything private that becomes public gives rise to speculation and unnecessary controversies simply because the general public are not privy to the whole truth. Out of respect for everyone involved, I followed the legal path to resolve the matter in question so as to keep it private. It was a breach of ethics to reveal the contents of a private legal notice.

Dignified silence is dignified up to a point, but there comes a time when the silence needs to be broken to protect one's name, family and image.

The crux of the matter is that the mail id hroshan@email.com does NOT belong to me. I had filed a complaint in this regard with Mumbai cyber crime cell on 12th December 2014 when I learnt of this impersonator communicating with the said person. I have absolutely NO CONNECTION with this ID.

On 5th March we reactivated our complaint and the crime unit has made headway in tracking this person down. Once that is done this matter can be laid to rest.

And finally, I believe that mental health is a grave and crucial issue, which merits serious discussion. I would never address it flippantly nor use it as a personal attack. I was requested to keep silent and I did so for 2 years.

This will be my final statement regarding this matter."
