"I have my own style. Even with my stylist, I always choose what I am comfortable in. If I am not comfortable in a dress, I won't buy it. It's not important to follow trends but what is more important is to be comfortable in whatever you are wearing," Mandana told IANS here. Being a model herself, Mandana attended the INIFD Presents Gen Next show at the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2016, taking place at hotel St. Regis here.
Asked about her experience of being a part of the fashion industry once again, she said: "It's amazing. (However) I have never been very interested in runway shows, but I do enjoy dressing up. I do enjoy coming for fashion weeks and looking at the dresses, the new collections and what's in.
"Because of the kind of job that I do, I have to wear different clothes and go to different places."
For her appearance at the fashion gala, Mandana wore an outfit designed by Gen Next designer Agrima Batra, a 22-year-old, who is the youngest of all the five Gen Next designers who showcased their works this season.
The five-day fashion gala flagged off on Wednesday here on a high note, with some of known Bollywood celebrities attending the event. These included Mini Mathur and Ali Fazal.
