Apparently, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif chatted up at a common friend's birthday bash; they left within few minutes of each other

Persistent yet unconfirmed reports of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's break-up have been doing the rounds for quite a while now, but from what happened at a common friend's house on Saturday, even cynics wouldn't rule out the possibility of a patch-up. The duo, who has been shooting for Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos' (Read more), came together for Aarti Shetty's birthday bash and partied till the wee hours.

Recently, there were reports of the "former" couple meeting each other at a skin clinic. Says a source, "Post their alleged break-up, Ranbir and Katrina have attended the same events, but always avoided crossing each other's paths. They come face to face only during the shoot. But since Aarti is a common friend, they couldn't have missed attending her birthday. They were at the party at the same time and also spoke to each other cordially. What's more, there seemed pretty comfortable around each other."


The party went on till the early hours of Sunday, and Ranbir and Kat were among the last few guests to leave.

"A few minutes after Ranbir drove out, the actress too hailed her chauffer and left," the source adds.

Other celebrities who were part of the bash included Karan Johar, rumoured lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Sonam Kapoor. Interestingly, Sonam's ex, filmmaker Punit Malhotra was also there, accompanied by an unidentified woman.
