Katrina Kaif might have to skip the prestigious festival this year because of professional reasons

Katrina Kaif, who made her red carpet debut at the Cannes film festival last year, will not be able to attend it this time despite her commitments to the brand she endorses. Reason? The dates of the festival are clashing the actress's dates of the Moroccan schedule of 'Jagga Jasoos'. The Anurag Basu film that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has been mired with controversies since a long time, right from the shooting of the film to the delayed schedule and it was also said that Ranbir and Katrina's break-up would further affect the film.

Time and again the film's schedule and the release date of the film was pushed forward due to various assorted reasons which includes the unavailability of the stars to Ranbir not liking the portion which was shot and the break up. But a source close to the actress says that there is no way Katrina would let her personal life affect her professional commitments.

The source says, "If she has committed to something, she will make sure that she does it, no matter what personal issues she is facing. She is determined to concentrate her energies on the work commitments she has in hand."

Currently Ranbir-Katrina starrer Jagga Jasoos is back on track and soon the first teaser of the film will be unveiled. However, what Katrina didn't foresee is that she might have to compromise on her appearance at the festival, for, the brand that she's endorsing will come in the way of her Jagga Jasoos schedule. A friend close to the actress says that she chose to finish the Moroccan schedule of her film though she was very keen on being part of the Cannes festival. She had a great time there last year."

Katrina remained unavailable for comment.
