The son of filmmaker David Dhawan, Varun entered Bollywood with the multi-starrer `Student of the Year` in 2012 along with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.
The actor then went on to experiment with his craft by doing films like `Main Tera Hero`, `Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania`, `Badlapur`, `ABCD 2` and `Dilwale`. Varun has a lot to look forward to, with films like `Dishoom`, "Shuddhi" and `Judwaa 2` lined up.
Before entering the silver screen, Varun worked behind the camera as an assistant director of `My Name Is Khan`.
