Manoj Bajpayee: 'Traffic' has been an amazing roller-coaster ride of emotions
Manoj Bajpayee has played a cop in several films earlier but he terms donning the uniform in his upcoming film, 'Traffic', as special. "It has been an amazing roller-coaster ride of emotions for me." The film highlights the need for a green corridor to transport organs quickly.

Manoj Bajpayee feels 2016 is going to be special for him. He began with his short film, 'Taandav', in which he also played a cop. February spelt his critically-acclaimed act in 'Aligarh'. Coming up later in the year is 'Saat Uchake' followed by 'Missing' (which marks his debut as producer) and 'Duronto' which bagged a National award this year. He says, "It is my job to be part of great stories and do my job well."

About 'Traffic' seeing light of day after a long delay, Manoj Bajpayee says, "It was ready over one-and-a-half years ago, but our director (the late Rajesh Pillai) was a perfectionist. He wanted everything to be the best. Also, every Friday is so crowded, that we had to wait and wait for a proper release."

What Manoj Bajpayee is also coming to terms is promoting a film whose director Rajesh Pillai passed away on February 27 this year. The actor says, "That is the most shocking thing that can happened to a film. You are talking about the director, but he is not there. He is not there to tell you his vision."
